No. The DOSE Device is a smart-storage container. It is not a medical device, is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it does not dispense anything.
Reminders, interaction alerts and access logs are organizational tools, not medical advice. Don’t rely on them in place of your prescription label, your pharmacist, or your physician.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Cancel any time before your order ships for a full refund, including shipping, taxes and fees. After delivery there’s a 30-day return window for unopened, unused devices in original packaging.
Every device is also covered by a one-year limited warranty from the date of delivery.
What happens to my fingerprint?
It’s converted to a mathematical token stored on the device itself. It isn’t uploaded or shared, and it can’t be used to reconstruct your fingerprint. You can delete registered prints at any time in Settings.
What’s the difference between DOSE and DOSE PRO?
Both have fingerprint access, timestamped opening history, schedules, reminders, and usage tracking widgets in-app. PRO adds a camera inside the cap that estimates how much is left after each close to count the quantity removed per opening.
Does the lid open by itself?
Yes. Hold your registered finger on the sensor while holding the bottle with the other hand. The scanner will light up with a blue hue and then turn green — the lid releases automatically. You don’t unscrew anything, but you do have to click the cap shut to close it.
Is it child-resistant?
No. DOSE is not child-resistant packaging under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act and has not been tested as childproof. Keep it out of reach of children and of anyone who shouldn’t have access to its contents.
Can I keep prescriptions in it?
Don’t use DOSE for rescue medication, emergency medication, or anything where a delay in reaching it could cause harm. There is no guaranteed manual or support-assisted backup opening, so always keep independent, immediately available access to anything you need for health or safety.
When will it ship?
Shipping timing is still being confirmed. Currently, devices are scheduled to begin shipping Dec 1, 2026. Reserving puts you on the list for availability and shipping updates as those dates firm up.
